Tire Replacement

(Sales and Installation)

Your tires are the only thing in your vehicle that makes contact with the road, and because of this, your tires need to be in perfect condition for their usage. In addition to that, your tires being in great condition can affect the results of your wheel alignment greatly, thus having your tires in perfect condition is always desired before you do your computerized four-wheel alignment.

When looking for any tires, you have to make sure that you know how to read your tire. There are 2 kinds of tire size measurements; the metric systen measures the tire width in millimeters, the aspect ratio of height and width as a percentage, and the rim diameter in inches, while the standard system measures the tire height, the tire width, and the rim diameter, all of them in inches. If you want to know where to find the original size of the tires your vehicle came up with, the vehicle often has a sticker with both the OE tire size, and the air pressure recommended for that size.

Everytime your vehicle has alignment problems or any other mechanical problem, the tire is always the first affected, and because of this, you always have to take notice of the tread that your tire has at that moment; there can be major problems if any damage on the tire is ignored, which can lead to blowouts, hydroplanning, and even major vehicular accidents, affecting yourself and any one inside and outside the vehicle.

Regardless of how much tread is left on your tires. always check your tire's date of manufacturing. The D.O.T number is a series of numbers and letters on the sidewall of the tire that serve as the identification number for the tires to determine any key information of the tire; the most important numbers provided by the D.O.T. are the last 4 digits, which represent the week and the year of manufacturing, so you can have an idea of when was the tire manufactured in the first place. According to tire manufacturing companies, a tire has a useful life of at least 5 years from manufacturing date, so make sure your tires are still in top condition.

Although it is recommended to change the tires all at one, you have the option to replace only a pair of them; it is always important that you install your newer tires (in case you only change 2 of them) in the rear part of the vehicle, since it can be an important to maintain control on the road in case of hydroplanning when going on a wet surface.
